SUMMARY:Sip\, Swirl & Savor Wine & Tasting Event
DESCRIPTION:Grab your friends and Sip Swirl\, & Savor your way through 1st Ave Plaza sampling delicious wines from Washington wineries.  Guests can also expect food samples\, charcuterie\, and more provided by local businesses.  The event will occur during the Inside OUT open-air marketplace\, so come early explore shops\, artists and vendors\, restaurants and live entertainment.  This event open to the public of all ages.   Wine tasting requires a ticket and 21 over. \nKDP is taking the Covid-19 pandemic very seriously.  We are committed to ensuring guests have a great time while remaining safe.  Our goal is to provide the community with appealing and fun events in a social setting once again. Most importantly\, we will gladly refund tickets if we need to cancel the event. \nTickets are limited to 150 people\, with select tasting times: 12 – 1 pm\, 1 – 2 pm\, and 2- 3 pm.  This mini wine event will be held outdoors in the 1st Ave Plaza Park.   Six wineries will be featured\, with the option to purchase wine bottles. \nENTERTAINMENT:   Adrian Xavier Band – Blending reggae with universal messages of peace\, community\, and love. \nWINERIES: Naches Heights Vineyard\, Love that RED\, 425 Cellars\, Three of Cups\, Reeds Sweet Wine\, and Sky River Mead Winery  \nTASTES:   Dilettante Chocolates\, Coro Foods (fine cured meats)  Dan the Sausage Man\, Veronica’s Charcuterie  \nPurchase Tickets HERE\nBYOG: Help us reduce waste\, bring your glass!   If you forget\, disposable glasses will be provided. \nRAIN OR SHINE EVENT:\nTicket includes 10 tasting tickets\nDisposable wine glass\nWrist band \nThe KDP is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.  Proceeds from this event benefit the KDP and future programming in downtown Kent. \nThank you to our sponsors:\n

SUMMARY:Team Up 2 Clean Up
DESCRIPTION:Join us and other enthusiastic volunteers as we prepare for Spring. We’ll be sprucing up the areas along Meeker and the surrounding downtown area.   \nWe’re looking for individuals\, families\, and groups to help with trash/recycle pickup\, weeding\, vegetation control/trimming\, sweeping\, etc. Meet up with old friends and make new ones!  \nSocial distancing protocols will be required.  Bring your mask; garden gloves encouraged if you have a pair. Groups working together will be within the same family; OR in areas where min of 6′ separation can occur.  \nWe’ll supply tools/equipment\, disposable gloves; we have a few pairs of garden gloves to loan\, but please bring if you have your own.  \nAll activities will be outdoors with plenty of social distancing.
